After various discussions, some people asked me if I could show how I proceeded to build my images. Here are captures that I made for the creation with the KonigsLuther. It's not perfect, but that gives a global view of the required work…
''Fledermaus IV'' Horten HO_347 1/48 model from Dust… and 1/48 & 1/35 soldiers.
All the elements have been composited in a CGI photoshop background and altered to give the impression of depth and rainy fog.
I drew at first the characters before scanning them and putting them in color with Illustrator. Then I made an editing in Photoshop to create the general atmosphere.
1/48 model from Hobbyboss. The model was worked by Arnaud Brysiak (from Euromaquette). I have dusted and subtly modified the colors, adding zones of discoloration… The model is integrated in a Photoshop CGI Background.
The Land Cruiser Schneider CA 1 here in a modified camo by Elodie Saint-Lo.
I photographed, retouched and integrated it into a virtual background.
The Schneider is available as a metal and resin built & painted 1/48th model at Master Fighter. http://www.master-fighter.com/mf48500/mf48588_char_schneider_CA1.htm
The eBook WORLD WAR II, story & Uchrony with a foreword by Paolo Parente is now available on iTunes & Amazon (and soon at others like Fnac.com)…
The Print version will be soon available.
To try new things is doubtless the best way to evolve. Here is a concept sketch for a Mecha cockpit with integration of a model (1/48) with a photoshop background.
The Walker in front of him is a 1/48th scale model.
