I knew when I was near my twenty years, the big wave of the fantasy movies which was introduced in the 80s. With this visual and plot wealth, came a number of young composers and gave too the possibility to see a real distribution of these soundtracks. As time goes, some evolutions were born and in the early 2000s, the need to communicate about this musical genre (so particular and somewhere so symphonic) came to me. I wished to encircle exactly this musical creation, its tendencies and its main genres, by trying to paint a portrait which sometimes returns to the classic, but especially to this melodic will.
